John Paul first took the stage in the living room of his childhood home in Dallas, Texas but quickly made their way to the neighbors…they had a piano. A little brother guaranteed a stable audience and their mom promised fresh material - she is exceptional at making up stories about the people they watch in line for the movies or sitting one table over at dinner. Dance was always medicine and music has been a teacher. Though the soundtrack has changed, the rhythm of life has always had a damn good beat for J.P. He is often caught playing one of his favorite instruments, the air-drums.

His carrier bag is full of stories that hope for a connected world and they believe art is at the foundation of that community. For JP, we are merely the universe reflecting itself and our work is a celebration of that beautiful experience.

John Paul’s work is inspired by the plants he cares for, their morning tea, his friends’ company, and of course, the music of Stevie Nicks and Dolly Parton. His stand up comedy skit would probably involve superstitions and quantum mechanics.
